The Sublime™ Skin Contouring procedure combines safe and effective levels of infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating new collagen growth. This procedure allows patients to comfortably reduce the signs of aging and achieve a tighter-looking, more youthful appearance without downtime.
Both laser and radiofrequency have been used separately for decades in medicine and surgery, but the Sublime Skin Contouring treatment combines infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen remodeling, producing ideal treatment outcomes with a very low risk of side effects and virtually no downtime.
Sublime can safely treat a multitude of skin types for laxity, sagginess, loss of elasticity, or textural irregularities. Treatment can be done on the face, neck, or other areas of the body.
Sublime Skin Contouring treatment can lift and smooth the contours of the eyes, brow lines cheeks, jowls and around the neck. Skin texture can also be smoothed out by the tightening and firming effect of treatment. This treatment is performed non-ablatively, which means this is a non-invasive procedure.
Sublime Skin Contouring works by combining two popular skin tightening methods: radio frequency and infrared light. With deep electro-optical heating, the skin contracts and tightens, while stimulating collagen remodeling for at least 90 days. Long after your treatment, collagen production continues, so you will continue to see improvements in skin tone and contour as it becomes tighter and firmer.
Sublime is a gentle, comfortable treatment requiring no downtime. Many patients return to normal activities immediately after the treatment. Cooling of the skin’s surface provides enhanced safety and additional comfort.
Most people leave the treatment office with only slight pinkness or no pinkness at all. Patients can return to normal activities immediately.
Most patients will have between 3-5 sessions, typically 3-4 weeks apart. The best results are seen 3-6 months post-completion, with maintenance every 6 months.
Most patients see gradual and cumulative results throughout the Sublime skin tightening treatments. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on the patient’s skin condition.
The Sublime procedure is well-tolerated by most patients without any topical anesthetic or other means of analgesia. The treatment tip is chilled so it provides contact cooling to the skin surface for added comfort.
Any medical aesthetic procedure has a risk of side effects, such as superficial blistering, crusting, and pigmentary changes in the skin. These risks are rare and usually quickly resolved.
