How We Perform Juvederm Treatment
Before your Juvederm treatment, you will meet with Dr. Hunsicker to discuss your goals. An allergy test won't be needed prior to treatment, because the gel is made with bio-compatible ingredients.
During treatment, Dr. Hunsicker injects the Juvederm into specific areas of the face in a short outpatient procedure. The injections only take about 30 minutes or so, depending on how many areas you want treated.
Juvederm XC is formulated with lidocaine, which is a numbing agent. This makes the injections more comfortable, and usually eliminates the need for a topical numbing cream. After your injections, Dr. Hunsicker will briefly massage your face to make sure that the gel is evenly distributed.
